A journey to Seeking Inner Peace and Reducing Stress
Relaxation Program and Restoring Mental Balance
Over the course of a six-day program, we participated in a group experience designed to promote psychological relaxation and restore mental balance away from the pressures of daily life. The participants made sure to take advantage of a peaceful environment that allowed them the opportunity to relax and renew their psychological energy.
Highlights of the Program
The program was distinguished by documenting many special moments, as recreational activities and group sessions played a significant role in creating a positive atmosphere and strengthening bonds among participants. The program focused on the importance of enjoying the present moment and acquiring skills that enhance mental health and social integration. Activities included meditation and reading sessions, as well as discussions of personal experiences and sharing inspiring stories about adaptation and resilience in the face of challenges.
Fostering Belonging Through Details
Every element within the workshop environment contributed to supporting the main goal, such as the book that carried messages about willpower and perseverance, as well as some symbols and tools used to practically illustrate the concept of care and attention. The program emphasized the importance of focusing on small details and how this reflects positively on participants’ psychological experiences.
Interaction with the Surroundings
The program saw active engagement with the nature of the place and its surrounding elements, as discussions addressed topics related to memories, migration, and belonging. The impact of the environment and local symbols in enhancing a sense of personal and collective security was also highlighted.
“A Release of Frustration” Workshop
The “Release of Frustration” workshop was dedicated to providing a safe space for expressing feelings and ideas, encouraging nonverbal communication, and exchanging experiences about coping with stress and pressures. The workshop showed positive outcomes in empowering participants to express themselves and build supportive relationships within the group.
Visit to Al-Shumeimis Castle
The program concluded with a visit to Al-Shumeimis Castle, where participants discussed efforts to revive the city’s facilities, such as the cinema hall, which was reopened after years of closure thanks to the efforts of local youth. The visit aimed to strengthen feelings of belonging and pride, and to inspire optimism among participants regarding the future of the community.
